Documents for customs declaration:
Providing an invoice or proforma invoice, certificate of origin or certificate of movement of goods in order to benefit from the preferential customs advantage, transport documents, insurance policy, specifications, registration and identification number of economic operators (EORI) and a packing list
Veterinary or physio-sanitary certificate for goods of animal or plant origin
Other documents or laboratory analyses
An EC safety and security regulation and preload declaration are mandatory for all goods leaving, arriving or moving from the EC.

Bulgarian Customs supervises the export, import, re-export and transit of weapons and dual-use goods and technologies. Bulgaria's regulations follow the EU's list of dual-use items, which include goods and technologies in the fields of nuclear weapons, chemical and biological warfare, and missiles.

When importing (that is, importing goods into the customs territory of the European Union, under the regime of free use of goods), import customs duties are payable in accordance with the Common Customs Tariff of the European Union.
